My Parents are Living Like its 1994......and Some Sad News

So the internet is working here at my parents place in St. Louis, but barely, so I won't be writing much at all this week. This saddens me because I won't be able to fulfill the blogger stereotype which is writing alone on a computer in their mom's basement (my mom's computer is in the basement). The slowness of the internet is too frustrating for me, I can't be on this computer for more than five minutes before becoming enraged. The situation gets worse because I usually take my frustrations out through furious masturbation but the internet here is too crappy for streaming online porn. I feel like I'm Amish.

Anyway I did want to post this sad news that came out yesterday. My favorite sportscaster Skip Caray, the voice of the Atlanta Braves, died Sunday in his home. His dad was the famous Cardinals and later and much more famous Cubs announcer Harray Caray. His son Chip Caray calls Braves games as well and also calls the Sunday game of the week on TBS.

Skip Caray was a pretty awesome announcer. He was funny and had a good voice. He is actually from St. Louis, he grew up here (since his dad was calling Cards games when he was a kid). He graduated from Webster Groves high school and then attended the University of Missouri. He actually got his start in the broadcasting biz calling Mizzou football games. He then moved back to St. Louis and called St. Louis Hawks (our former NBA team) games. He moved to Atlanta when the Hawks did. Then he started doing Braves games and the rest is history (albeit history most people don't know about). He was to the Atlanta Braves what his dad was to the Cubs and Jack Buck was to the Cardinals.

Anyway I'm pretty bummed. Hopefully his ghost will help out Mizzou's football team this year. He was a big Mizzou fan and regularly talked about them during Braves broadcasts. I would say "hopefully his ghost will help out the Braves" but I'm pretty sure Satan has been controlling the Braves' play all season and being that Skip Caray is newly deceased I doubt his ghost powers are developed enough to battle Satan.

R.I.P Skip Caray, you will be missed.
